Birmingham comedy fans will probably be familiar with the long-established Fat Penguin Comedy Club, and their line-up for November must be among their best yet. A weekly Wednesday night gig hosted by Jay Handley at the Patrick Kavanagh in Moseley, this month’s shows include a few of Who’s Laughing Now’s favourite acts and are not to be missed.
On 7th November, stand-up, storyteller and Radio 4 regular Tom Wrigglesworth performs some of his greatest hits from previous shows as well as new material, with support from comic and musician Faye Treacy.
14th November sees UK comedy stalwart Simon Munnery performing Fylm-Makker, his 2012 show comprised of visual sketches, handcrafted animation, oddball props and leftfield stand-up.
Later in the month, the 21st brings uncompromising stand-up from US performer Scott Capurro and the more irreverent output of Scottish comedian Stephen Carlin.
Finally, the last show of the month (28th) sees Tony Law provide his usual nonsense and whimsical stand-up in what’s sure to be a strangely magnificent show, alongside hotly-tipped act Eleanor Tiernan.
Fat Penguin events are free entry with a recommended donation of £5. Keep up with their show announcements on Facebook and Twitter.
